HPS to Take Part in Ecomondo 2026 Session on Oil Pollution in the Mediterranean

Hasna Petroleum Services (HPS) is pleased to announce its participation in Ecomondo 2026, the green technology expo taking place from 3 to 6 November 2026 in Rimini, Italy. This year marks the 29th edition of the event.

On 4 November, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, a representative of HPS will speak at a dedicated session on oil pollution in the Mediterranean. The session is organized by Ecomondo STC and CMCC, together with DG RTD of the European Commission, and is chaired by Antonio Navarra (CMCC) and Elisabetta Balzi (European Commission). It is held in English, with simultaneous French translation available, and falls under the category of international cooperation and partnerships with the Mediterranean and Africa.

HPS will contribute to the segment on environmental remediation and pollution recovery. Its presentation will focus on tank cleaning, hazardous waste management and oily water treatment, areas that are central to limiting the long-term impact of hydrocarbon pollution on marine and coastal environments.

The session addresses a major regional challenge. Chronic oil pollution threatens marine ecosystems, fisheries, tourism and public health across the Mediterranean, and its semi-enclosed nature means pollutants tend to accumulate over time. The event aims to share ongoing initiatives, strengthen data sharing and monitoring, including satellite-based detection, and improve preparedness and rapid response to oil spills.

For HPS, this is an opportunity to share its field experience with institutions, researchers and industry partners from across the Mediterranean, and to reinforce regional cooperation in the fight against pollution.

HPS – The answer for a clean future.
